FLOTECH-HONEY Workshop – “Flora, Technology and Honey: Next Generation Governance in Beekeeping” – is a nationally hosted scientific and technical event held in English, and it is open to international participants. The workshop brings together researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders working toward the future of sustainable beekeeping. Organized under the BEE-OPTECH4Honey Project, the workshop focuses on the integration of digital technologies, spatial analyses, and flora mapping in modern apiculture. It explores how technologies such as GIS, remote sensing, sensor systems, and optimization models can be utilized to enhance honey production, improve hive management, and optimize migratory beekeeping routes. The event also aims to deepen the understanding of the relationship between floral diversity and honey quality while contributing to the development of digital infrastructures that support beekeepers. With sessions dedicated to smart beekeeping, flora data collection, honey quality evaluation, and policy development, the FLOTECH-HONEY Workshop envisions a data-driven, ecologically and economically viable future for next-generation apiculture. Accepted abstracts will be published in the electronic Workshop Abstract Book with an ISBN.
